Between added (Parentheses) in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, an opportunity to describe

Khadijeh Khosravi, Jalal Khaleghi Motlagh(Author in Charge), Ali Imani

Abstract

The mission of this research consists of examining the descriptive concepts in parentheses of "Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh" and determining the effect and extent of the use of rhetorical elements (simile, metaphor, exaggeration, etc.).

However, parenthesis is almost same as Between added except that "parenthesis" is a more concept. In this paper, it has been attempted to examine a selection of "parenthesis" with a descriptive concept and of structural diversity.

Such "parentheses" are mostly focused on describing of tangible things, such as sunrise and sunset, battle scenes, people and objects, places, and so on, and highlight the color and epic tone. The choice of examples for this paper is mostly based on their content and their diverse descriptive themes; however, for the structure, the "parentheses" incorporated into one hemistich were considered.

From the rhetorical point of view, Ferdowsi has made the least use of metaphor and the greatest of exaggeration.

The parentheses in Shahnameh have made it possible for the poet to portray his poetic art, which in turn evidence his vast imagination.
